Descol introduces new type of 20 liter pail
Descol recently switched to a new type of 20 liter pail with quick release lid, which is used for almost all liquids excluding coating. The new pails have an improved quality and feature a useful quick release system.
Along with the new pails, two new packaging machines have been taken into operation. These new machines attach the lid to the pail within a few seconds, however, the advantage lies in opening up the pails. With a pipe wrench the applicator is able to remove the lid in one single operation. What remains left and intact, is a lid that is easily put back on the pail and the material can be temporarily stored. If necessary there is a possibility to use a clamp which seals the pails for long-term storage.
The new packaging means significantly less physical pressure for employees in the production. After the pails are placed into the machine, it automatically pushes the pails forward and the lids are automatically attached. It is now history to operate the machine per pail. Also, the rotating parts are protected by safety glass, making the machines safer to use and also it fades the noise of the air pump. With this, Descol invests in sustainability of their equipment and employees.
The new pails with quick release can already be encountered. From the first of January 2011 the current pails get a yellow colour and besides that, all pails will include Descol's new label.
