Descol installs 7,074 m2 Pulastic at IISPA Almelo.

In 2007 it became known that the municipality of Almelo had plans to build a new professional sports centre in collaboration with Koppert & Koenis architects and contractor Löwik/Hegeman. The International Indoor Sports Centre Almelo (IISPA) officially opened its doors to the athletes and the public November 18, 2010.

Elite class sports floor with underfloor heating
Descol considers in collaboration with Koppert & Koenis architects the most appropriate floor for all types of sports in both the large- and the professional sports hall, all with underfloor heating. The sports floor must meet the standards for professional sports while at the same time sufficient resistance against the weight of the JZ movable seating platforms is crucial.

This is why is chosen for the Pulastic Elite Performance 90 Eco, a combi-elastic sports floor which combines the best features of sport technical assets . In total, nearly 3,450 m2 of sports flooring has been installed.

Uniformity with Pulastic Comfort Floor 
For other areas such as the hallways, stairs, kitchen, catering and the VIP-area the Pulastic Comfort floor has been installed, taken together over 3,600 m2. This flooring system has the advantage that it contributes to the noise reduction and the coating is water-based which means that the release of volatile organic compounds is minimal. The flooring can be applied in any RAL-colour.

Altogether Descol installed 7,074 m² of seamless polyurethane floors in the new sports centre. Having all floors installed by one supplier means, alongside Descol’s high-quality flooring, an impressive uniformity in all the rooms and  good usability. For maintenance one can contact Descol, either it’s about the kitchenfloor or sportshall, and all areas can be cleaned similarly with Pulastic cleaning agents.
